Taking cues from the rich tapestry of Sri Lankan home life, Karapincha presents a collection of neighbourhood Sri Lankan cafés and cozy kitchens, offering comforting and authentic feel-good cuisine. Seeking to enhance their latest venue in Canary Wharf, they tasked us with designing both the paper and digital menus. Opting for animation, we aimed to weave the brand's narrative and enlighten patrons about Sri Lankan cuisine while guiding them through the array of delectable dishes awaiting discovery.

Heritage Meets Modern Simplicity

For Karapincha, we crafted a visual identity that echoes the interior design of their latest venue in Canary Wharf, blending tradition with modernity. Our approach was to visually convey the complexity of Sri Lankan family heritage in cooking while making it accessible for a contemporary, grab-and-go audience. The design captures the rich cultural narrative in a simple, digestible way, ensuring the brand remains authentic while appealing to today’s busy diners.

SRI LANKAN Tradition for BUSY LONDONERS

We developed a menu concept that translates the depth of Sri Lankan family recipes into a format that’s easy for customers to navigate. The design distills the complexity of heritage cooking into a clear, approachable layout, allowing guests to quickly discover the array of comforting dishes while reinforcing the grab-and-go nature of the venue. This balance of simplicity and cultural richness was key to engaging customers without overwhelming them.
